According to press speculation, David Luiz has held talks with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte regarding his recent lack of playing time. With the World Cup coming up in Russia next summer, Luiz is going to want to be playing football.
The Brazilian fell out with Conte over issues that occurred during the two Champions League games against Roma. According to The Express Luiz has demanded game time or he`ll be off. The paper quote a ‘source close to Luiz` as saying,
`David like any player wants to play. So now he is waiting to see what happens.`
Inciteful stuff there from that ‘source`. In other news Christmas is coming and City are going to win the league.
That said, if they have spoken, it can only be a good thing. It really needs sorting out once and for all. The article also states that Conte said at that meeting he wants Luiz back in the team.
Player and manager confrontations never end well at Chelsea and generally speaking, it`s the manager that loses out.
Clubs now on alert for Luiz`s services are believed to be Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Luiz is supposedly close to recovering from a knee problem that has seen him ‘sidelined` in recent weeks, it will be interesting to see if the two really have made it up. The Brazilian`s selection or non-selection in the starting XI of any game in the near future will prove or disprove those theories.
